You don't need an audit every week. But there are moments when getting an independent set of eyes on your site pays for itself many times over. Here are five.
1. You just launched or redesigned
New code means new bugs. The excitement of going live is exactly when the boring function checks get skipped — and that's when things break quietly.
2. Sales or inquiries dropped and you can't explain it
When the numbers dip for no obvious reason, a silent website problem is a prime suspect. A broken checkout or dead form can look exactly like "the market slowed down."
3. You've never actually tested it
If you built the site and just trusted it works, it's overdue. Sites drift — plugins update, integrations expire, browsers change.
4. You're about to drive traffic to it
Running ads, a promotion, or a big campaign? Sending expensive traffic to a leaky site wastes the spend. Check the site before you fill the funnel.
5. Customers have mentioned "little" issues
If even one person mentioned something looked off or didn't work, assume many more hit it and just left without saying anything.
Any one of these is a good reason for a thorough, independent check. If two or more sound familiar, it's time. That's exactly the moment a QA audit earns its keep.
